TIGHTENING UP OF THE LAW. INTENTION OF GOVERNMENT. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night Legislation designed to tighten up the law relating to company promotion and company methods in New Zealand and to amend certain features of New Zealand company law will probably be introduced by the Government this session. The legislation rises out of the final findings and recommendations of the Company Promotion Commission which reported to Parliament last session, a commission which was origin. Ty set up to inquire into the tendencies and developments in promotion, financial methods, control and operations of certain companies seeking to raise capital and loan funds in the Dominion. . It is understood that the proposed legislation will be general in nature and that it will not apply specifically to any group of companies such as that involved in the special legislation of last session.
