FAREWELL TO MISS LEECH. On Friday evening the parents and children of the Norfolk Road district assembled to.farewell Miss M. Leech, who has been infant mistress at the school for five years. Mr. Walker, chairman of the school committee, presented her with a drawing-room clock and Miss Gladys Ackland on behalf of th? pupils presented her with a crystal vase. Mrs. Evans, the headmistress, also spoke of the good fellowship that had existed between the teachers and children and wished Miss Leech every success at the Inglewood school. 1 - "<• ’/,■, Itefns were given by Mesdames Startup and Fabish. Music, for the dance was supplied by Harris Bros.’ orchestra and Mr. Walker was master of ceremonies. A competition was won by Mrs. Ashton and Mr. Ackland. Miks B. Dombroski has returned from Wellington. ‘ Misses P. and T. Brown are the. guests of Mrs. Lawrence, Inglewood. Mrs. W. Brown, who has been the guest of Mrs. Mills, Westown, has returned. Mrs. Evans Is spending the holidays at , JJew Plymouth.
