RATES 1935-1936. pUBMC NOTICE is hereby given that ■ in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by sections 120 and 121 of the “Counties Act, 1920” and section 51 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions. Act, -1926” - and- section 85 of “The Harbours Act, 1923” it is the intention of the Council of the County of Egmont at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Opunake, on Tuesday the 10th day of September, 1935, to make and levy the following rates:— NORTH RIDING—A General rate of One penny and three eighths pence in the £ and a Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of One third of one penny in the £. CENTRAL RIDING—A General rate of One penny half penny in the £, and a Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of One third of one penny in the £. SOUTH RIDING—A General rate of One penny half penny in the £, and a Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of One third of One penny in the £. NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR RATE— A Special rate of One Twelfth of one penny (l-12d) in the £ on all rateable property within the County of Egmont, as described in the First schedule to the New PlyAct, 1918, and a Special rate of mouth Harbour Board Empowering One twelfth of one penny (l-12d) in the £, on all rateable property within the County of Egmont, as described in the Fourth Schedule to the New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1924. Such rates to be calculated on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the County of Egmont, and to be for the period of twelve months, commencing on the Ist day of April, 1935, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1936, with the exception of the New Plymouth Harbour rate, which is for the twelve months commencing on the Ist day of. October, 1934, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1935. And that such rates shall become due and be payable in one sum, on the 25th September, 1935, at the County Office, Opunake, to the County Clerk and Treasurer. Pursuant to section 54 of the “Rating Act 1925” the Valuation Rolls are open for inspection at the County Office, Opunake, during Office hours. A Rebate of 5 per cent, will be allowed off the General rate or any portion thereof (Hospital rate not included) which is paid by the 25th October, 1935.
