BUTTER FOR AMERICA
IMPORTS PRACTICALLY CEASE. NEW YORK PRICES LOWER. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. 1 Washington, Aug. 31. Imports of butter into the United States, which totalled 21,500,000 pounds in the first six months of the year* are reported by the Department of Agricul.ture to have practically ceased. The margin between prices at New York and at London has fallen to much below the import tariff.
