Redward, whose marriage takes place shortly. The afternoon was passed pleasantly with items and competitions. Miss M. Knight has returned to Wellington after a visit to Mrs. B. Foreman, Tikorangi. WOMEN’S DIVISION Pungarehu: Mrs. Harris presided over a good attendance at the August meeting. MiSS Winifred Rowe was welcomed as a new member. The treasurer, Mrs. J. C. Best, reported that as a result of the euchre party and dance the funds of the branch should be considerably augmented. Arrangements were completed for a “brlng-and-buy” afternoon. A competition arranged by Mesdames R. Copplestone and J. C. Best resulted in a tie for first place between Mrs'. J. D. Row? and Justine' Murphy. The hostesses were Mesdames Best and Coppiestone.
