AUSTRALIAN GOVERNOR-GENERAL. SIR ALEXANDER HORE-RUTHVEN. . By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Sydney, Aug. 15. Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven, formerly Governor of South Australia and now Governor of New South Wales, will succeed Sir Isaac Isaacs as Governor-Gen-eral.of Australia, sayS the Sydney Morning Herald’s Canberra correspondent. An official announcement is expected next week. - It is understood that before Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven tikes office he will be raised to the peerage.
