Changed for the Better.

Speaking at the reunion of Timaru High School old boys at Christchurch the headmaster, Mr. A. G. Tait, contended that the depression had changed schools a good deal for the better. With no work available boys were remaining at school longer than formerly and this had made an extended curriculum necessary. University subjects were being taught and facilities provided for these courses. The introduction of new subjects at Timaru High School had been effected without any cultural loss. Our Double Dry Cleaning process is now in operation. Suits and Costumes renovated for 4/6. J. K. Hawkins and Co., Dry Cleaners and Dyers, corner Devon and Liardet Streets, New Plymouth. Stratford depot: Rudkin’s Confectionery.*
