WIN FOR HAWERA MEN’S TEAM. MATCH AGAINST STRATFORD. Hawera golfers beat Stratford in a match at Hawera at the week-end by three matches. Results, Stratford players mentioned first, are:— Green and Anderson beat O’Callaghan and Walkley 4 and 3 in the morning and all square in the afternoon. Morris and E. S. Rutherfurd beat Whitehead and Pease 2 and 1 and lost 3 and 2. Parker and Swindell lost to Tarrant and Sturrock 1 down and all square. Wells and Maguire beat Ward and McDonald 3 and 2, and all square. Burmester and J. Rutherfurd lost to Simpson and Jones 3 an3~ 2 and 7 and 5. ’ O’Leary and Pegg lost to Fry and Ryan 2 and 1, and 5 and 4. WOMEN’S GOLF POSTPONEMENT.
