FITZROY SCHOOL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the Fitzrpy school committee on Wednesday night the headmaster’s report showed .that the average attendance at the school for July was 438. The present roll number is 470. On July 29 and 30 the school was visited by the inspector, Mr. J. A. Henry. Preparations for ’ the school ball are being made and wrenching .and pruning of trees on the new building site and preparation for their. removal'has. been done by the senior boys. In the event of the Sackville Street section being acquired the gymnasium will be re-erected on a site to be decided by a special meeting of the committee. Minor repairs done to the school building recently include cementing to prevent, leaks where the walls of the infants’ school have cracked, and the removal of two dangerous chimney pots. . ... . Mr. J. D. Robb presided at the meeting and other members attending were Messrs. C. R. Cook, N. J. Kibby, S. D. Kibby, R. H. Milne, A. W. H. Nixon and E. Armitage (secretary). .Mr, R. E. Thomas, headmaster, was also present.
