Holmes Miller, Ngaturi, who several weeks ago announced himself an independent candidate for the Pahiatua seat, has now-withdrawn from the'field, leaving Sir Alfred Ransom and Mr. Gower (Labour). Mr. Miller stated that his withdrawal was influenced by the possibility of his efforts assisting to return the present member.
