DEFEAT OF SCHOOL TEAMS. At Upper Mangorei on Wednesday afternoon the Omata school basketball and football teams played some teams. The basketball score was Omata 16, Upper Mangorei 1. The football score was Omata 29, Upper Mangorei 12. Mr. A. Busing has returned from a holiday in the Waikato. Mrs. G. Wells is staying with her mother, Mrs. A. Wells. Mr. and Mrs. C. Olliver, TaurAnga, and Mr. G. Knaup, Tirau, are staying with Mrs. A. Wells. Miss P. Gleye is spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Gleye. After visiting friends in the district, Messrs. J. and A. Reid have returned to Putaruru.
