Parkhill, is initiating measures for the protection of the civilian population of Australian capitals against gas attacks by enemy raiders in the event of war, says the Canberra correspondent of the Sun. Mr. Parkhill announced that a conference was' being arranged between' representatives of the Commonwealth States on the subject of a practicable scheme which could be employed in such an emergency.
