SCHOOL FAREWELL
MR. E. E. THOMAS HONOURED. PRESENTATIONS AT ELTHAM. Prior to the Titham school breaking up fot the holidays yesterc’--- the children assembled to say good-bye to the headmaster, Mr. R. E. Thomas, who will take, up the position of headi aster at Fitzroy at the beginning of next term. Mr. Gudopp, senior assistant, wished Mr. and Mrs. Thomas a happy future. Mr. Thomas had endeared himself to all the pupils and they would greatly miss him.
Ross Smith presented a dinner waggon to Mr. and Mrs.' Thomas and a reading lamp and travel book. He thanked both for the interest the-' had taken in the children. Mr. Thomas expressed appreciation of the children’s sentiments and gifts. He wished the scholars the best success in the future.
A presentation was also made to Mr. Tnomas on behalf of the staff and committee. ' ■ Mr. Gudopp said it Lad always been a pleasure to work with the headmaster and the staff wished him prosperity and happiness. The Rev. J. A. Rybum, chairman of the committee, expressed regret at Mr. Thomas’• departure but wished both the best of happiness and success.
