MAN ESCAPES AFTER MAULING.

Peasants in the northern portion of the Champaran district in Bihar province have been terrorised by a strange black animal described as half wolf and half jackal, which has seized and carried into the jungle two babies which were sleeping in a hut. It also mauled a man, who escaped.
