( The Nationalist Press is demanding an official inquiry and exemplary punishment of local officials for mishandling the situation at Karachi last week when troops fired on Moslem rioters, killing 35 and injuring more than 100. Colonel- V. Dashwood, commanding the Second Royal Sussex Regiment, donating to a fund to assist th a families of those killed, said the troops bitterly regretted the part they were compelled to play, especially in a city where they had lived in peace for nearly five years.
