The matrimonial affairs of Ted Morgan, the boxer, and his wife, formerly Norma Wilson, the sprinter who represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games, were again aired in court when an application was made on the wife’s behalf for orders for separation and maintenance on the grounds of the husband’s alleged wilful failure to provide maintenance. The wife did not appear, her counsel explaining that he considered it unnecessary. There was also the expense of bringing her front Gisborne. Morgan declared that he was willing to provide a home for his wife at any 1 time she cared to come and live with him. He had not written to his wife since the divorce proceedings Or asked her to return because he had never put her out. He said his wages at present were £6 12s lOd a fortnight and living expenses about £4 10s a month, in addition to bus fares amounting to about 18s a week. The case was adjourned sine die.
