AUROA NEWS.

PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Miss Eileen O’Dea, Auroa, who is in a Manaia private hospital, is progressing favourably. Mrs. Cyril Espin, with her little daughter and son, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Lyndon. Mr. and Mrs. W. Bowman, New Plymouth, are renewing old friendships at Auroa, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davies. Both. Mr. and Mrs. Bowman were among the pioneer settlers of Auroa, and still own land there. Miss Skelton, who has been visiting Mrs. Ludlow, has returned to Tikorangi. Mrs. J. Sanderson has gone to Pihama after an extended stay at New Plymouth, with Miss Beth and Joan Sanderson. The sympathy of the district has been extended to Mrs. S. Hartley, Awatuna, and Mr. and Mrs. Evans, Oeo Road, in the death of Mrs. Ewans, senr., who lived for some time at Makaka. Mr. T. Haworth had the misfortune to have his cow shed burned down early on Tuesday. Miss Mary Bowie is staying with Mrs. Fred Hughes. • Mrs. Wilks, who has been visiting Okato, has returned home.
