DAIRY BOARD ELECTION
PRODUCERS’ VOTING MR. A. LINTON IN MIDDLE WARD. MESSRS. MURDOCH AND DUNLOP. TARANAKI MEN WELL DOWN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Messrs. A. J. Murdoch, M.P. (northern), A. Linton (middle) and J. Dunlop (southern) have been elected as the producers’ representatives on the reconstituted dairy board. The two Taranaki candidates in the middle, ward, Messrs. W. C. Green and R. B. Sutton, finished third and fifth, well behind the leaders. Details of the voting, which was on the factory tonnage basis, are:— Northern Ward. A. J. Murdoch, M. P. (Whangarei) 40,371 W. Grounds (Hokianga) 11,904 T. M. Wells (Cambridge) 11,113 S. A. Ferguson (Motumaoho, Morrinsville) 3,196 E. G. Appleton (Turiwiri, Northern Wairoa) 616 Middle Ward. A. Linton (Lower Valley, Featherston) 24,222 C. G. C. Dermer (Makind, Feilding) 23,518 W. C. G. Green (Rahotu) 15,118 N. Campbell (Kauwhata, Manawatu) 3,127 R. B. Sutton (Inglewood) 2,572 B. Roberts (Carterton) 1,447 S. T. Paviour Smith (Dannevirke) 40 Southern Ward. J. Dunlop (Seaward Downs, Southland) 12,922 W. Lee (Goodwood) 11,135 A. R. Guild (Milford, Temuka) .. 820
