Last Night For what is believed to. be th© first time in the history ol New Zealand, quadruplets, three girls and a boy, were bom in the Dunedin hospital to-night, The event, was known to doctors beforehand because, when the mother was admitted to hospital on February 25, an X-ray examination disclosed the position. Though the birth was six weeks premature, a doctor said it was a normal delivery and there was every prospect of the infants’ survival. The boy was bom first, weighing 41b lOoz, and then the girls, 41b soz, 31b 15oz and the last 41b 9oz. Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson, the proud parents, were married 10 years ago and already have two girls aged eight and six, while five years ago they lost a baby'three days old.
