DEFEAT OF PUKEHO TEAM. * A tennis team from the Pukeho Tennis Ciub travelled to Ratapiko on Tuesday and played a match with a team from the Ratapiko club. Ratapiko won by 21 sets to 3. Ngaere Gardens on Friday last. There was a large attendance and a thoroughly enjoyable day’s outing was spent. The gardens were an ideal place for a school picnic. The tables arranged. under the trees were very much appreciated when lunch hour came. The school committee spared no efforts in attending to the wants of the children. In the afternoon a sports programme was carried out under the direction of the headmaster, Mr. McClellan, and was keenly followed by the parents. During the week-end a tennis afternoon was held at Mr. and Mrs. J. Lepper’s court, Mana Road. Mr. Ray Anderson and party, who are motor-touring in the north, are the guests of Mrs. O. Wilson, "Egmont View,” for a few days. Mr. Duncan Wallace, New Plymouth, was a visitor to Ratapiko for the weekend.
