KENNEL CLUB MEETS

FIVE NEW MEMBERS ELECTED. ARRANGEMENT FOR PARADES. Five new members were elected lasi night at the monthly committee meeting of the New Plymouth Kennel Club. Mr. R. L. Cooper presided. Mr. F. J. Patterson was welcomed to the club as vice-president Appreciation was expressed of his services'as judge and his interest in the club. Mr. Patterson said he was always-glad to do evc.-ything possible for the good of the club. Mr. Patterson gave a cup for the match parade on April 17. Mr. Cooper has providci the cup for the parade this month, which will be held on March 20 in the Agricultural Hall. Mr. E. Metcalfe was appointed to arrange entries. • In the event of there not being eignt dogs to contest the final, it was decided that Mr. H. T. Moore is to be asked to select competitors up to the number of eight from the beaten dogs. •, Arrangements were made for the ribbon parade on March 30 to be held in conjunction with the Poultry Club's show. Mr. Patterson was appointed judge and the entry fee fixed. It was decided to have classes for puppies under 12 months old and for children’s pets other than dogs entered in the show classes. There would be one section for the most obedient dog and one for the best kept dog.
