OFFENCES BY BOYS
SHOPLIFTING AT HAMILTON. WATCHES, TORCHES AND KNIVES. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Hamilton, Jan. 12. Five boys whose ages ranged from 12 to 14 pleaded guilty in the Children’s Court to-day to charges of shoplifting at Hamilton. All of them came from respectable homes. The offences, which extended over three months, consisted of the theft of watches, torches, knives, balls, etc. The magistrate, in severely admonishing and discharging the offenders, indicated that a repetition of the offences would not be viewed so leniently.
