LITTLE RAINFALL LAST YEAR. The rainfall for December was 1.61 in„ rain falling on ten days. The rainfall for the year was 61.47 inches on 154 days, this being much less than usual. The highest for several years was 80.21 inches, in 1929. Mrs. Martin and family are spending a holiday- at Dunedin and Oamaru. Mrs. Whitehead is holidaying with Mrs. Bennet Mrs. Les Hale is spending a holiday at Lewin and the Wairarapa district. Mr. and Mrs. E. Carrington, Mrs. L. Carrington and Mr. and Mrs. M. Aidwin, Christchurch, who have been on a motor tour Of the North Island, are staying with Mrs. G. Bennet. Mr. and Mrs. F. Wadman, Christchurch, are spending a holiday with Mrs. G. Bennet. ' Mr. and Mrs. E. Bennet, Wanganui, are staying for a few days as the guests of Mrs. G. Bennet. Mr. and Mrs. Parcel and Miss Purcel are spending their holiday at the beach.
