PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Miss V. de Thierry, Auckland, spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. de Thierry, Warea. Miss M. Sole, Westown, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. F. Sole. Mr. and Mrs. C. Sole spent the holidays as the guests of Mrs. J. Stronge, Tataraimaka.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, Te Kuiti, have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. C. Corbett. Miss S. Brough, New Plymouth, is the guests of Miss M. Corbett. Miss T. Penwarden is the guest of Mrs. F. Fowles. Mr. and Mrs. Rose and Miss Clare spent the holidays with Mr. B. Gold. The Women’s Institute gave an evening to Mr. and Mrs. A. Watt, Warea Road, who had their home destroyed by fire. There was a good attendance. Dance music played by Misses F. Julian, M. Sole and J. Corbett, Messrs. D. Longley, E. Davis and P. Chapman (accordeon). Mr. J. Donald was master of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Watt received many gifts. Mr. N. Davis is out of hospital and is the guest of his sister, Mrs. P. Briggs, Hillsborough.
