Hawkins has left on a holiday visit to Auckland. Mrs. L. W. Lovell will leave to-day for a camping holiday at Onaero. Mrs. N. Barker, Morrinsville, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Blanchett, Vogeltown. Mrs. Taylor senr. and Miss Jean Taylor have left for a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. A. W. Budge, Stratford, visited New Plymouth during the week. Mrs. D. Morris, Stratford, is visiting her mother, Mrs. S. Shaw. Mrs. A. E. Grant has left to spend a holiday of several weeks at Ashburton. Mrs. K. Neal, Stratford, is visiting New Plymouth as the guest of Mrs. G. Neal. Mrs. Eric Cutfleld, Wanganui, is staying at the Belt Road motor camp. Miss Ruth Clare arrived from Wellington on Tuesday on a visit to her sister, Mrs. G. F. Rich. Mrs. R. Millward has returned to New Plymouth after spending Christmas at Wanganui. Mrs. C. E. Linwood left by car on Wednesday to spend a camping holiday at Russell. Miss B. Harkness has arrived from Tariki on a visit to Mrs. B. H. Bullock. Mrs. M. Pauli and Miss Avis PauH are camping at the Oakura beach. Mrs. George Glenn, Wanganui, visited New Plymouth for a few days this week. Miss Frances Russell arrived from Wanganui last night to spend a holiday with her sister, Mrs. P. Grey. Miss Evelyn Cooper is spending. a three weeks’ holiday at Taumarunui. Misses Shaw, Thames, are visiting New Plymouth as the guests of Mrs. M. Courtney. Mrs. G. Hobbs, Hamilton, is visiting New Plymouth' as the guest of her sisters, Misses R. and C. Moore. Mrs. Owen Bayly arrived from Auckland yesterday.. She will be the guest of Mrs. Russell Matthews for a few days. Mrs. R. B. Anderson and family, Stratford, are spending the summer holidays at Ngamotu beach. ■ Mrs. W. Livingstone, Gisborne, and Mrs. Quin, Wanganui, are the guests of Miss J. Home for a few days. Mrs. Cecil Symes and Miss Symes arrived from Maramarua, Auckland, yesterday to spend a holiday as the guests of Mrs. G. H. Stephenson. . Mrs. C.» N. Taylor, Wellington, has taken a house at New Plymouth for the summer holidays. Miss S. Thomson was hostess at a farewell evening for Mrs. K. Roskruge at Mrs. Roskruge’s home last night. Mrs. C. Taylor left on Wednesday for Auckland, and will sail to-day on a trip to England. Mrs. H. G. Greatbatch and Miss Greatbatch, Auckland, are spending the Christmas and New Year ( holidays at New Plymouth. Mrs. L. G. Walker, Wanganui, who was the guest of Mrs. M. J. Armstrong, left by car during the week to visit Auckland. Mrs. J. Dunnett, Wellington, and her small daughter June are the guests of Mrs.. W. Roberts for the holidays. Miss Joyce George, Rongotea, is visiting New Plymouth as the guest' of Mrs, Rhind. ’ Mrs. Emery, Sydney, is staying with her mother, Mrs. Tancred. Misses Joyce and Rita Knowles are spending their holidays at New Plymouth. Mrs. J. O’Sullivan and Miss Kathleen O’Sullivan, Matapu, and Mrs. Gower, Patea, were visitors to New Plymouth for the races. Misses Mamie and Rita Fleming left New Plymouth on Christmas Eve to spend a holiday at Auckland. Miss Violet Lee, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. T. Bransgrove, New Plymouth, for a few weeks. Miss Edna Chainey left during the week for Auckland, where she will be joined by Mrs. J. W. Bailey, en route for Sydney by the Monowai. Mrs. C. J. Brooks, with her little daughter, is a visitor to Taranaki, being the guest of Mrs. R. Hutchinson, Palmer Road, Manaia. Miss S. Davys, Dunedin, and Misses W. Crabbe, M. Cant, C. Richards and E. Wilcox, Christchurch, were the guests of Mrs. H. M. Bacon for Christmas. Accompanied by Mrs. Bacon, they _ will leave to-day to spend a week at North Mount Egmont. Visitors to the Hotel Imperial this week include Mrs. W. Norman, Miss Norman, Mrs. Jennings, Misses K. and R. Brennan (Wellington), Miss A.
