PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY HELD. RESULTS OF TENNIS MATCHES. The prize-giving ceremony of the Radnor Road school was held in the school grounds in bright sunshine. Before presenting the children with their prizes, the chairman (Mr. C. C. Davis) complimented file headmaster (Mr. Watson) on the splendid condition of the grounds. Each child was .presented with a bag of. sweets and afternoon tea was supplied by a women’s committee. Mr. Watson received a small Christmas gift from the children. The prize list was as follows: Standard 7, James Hunt; Standard 6, Isabel Hunt, Percy Vickers; Standard 5, Noel Askew, Alfred Rookes, Claude Vickers; Standard 4, Lance Askew, Kenneth Hunt; Standard 3, Margaret Hunt; Standard 2, Norma Mapp, Mervyn Vickers; Standard 1, Rex Vickgns, Maurice Vickers; primers, Zeta Vickers, Herbert Read, Darrell Davis, Eric Read. Tennis Competitions. The results of the combined doubles matches last week are: Mrs. Askew and G. Vickers beat ,C. Kelly and W. Rookes 6—5, Miss Hunt and R. Vickers beat Mrs. Mapp and E. Fear 6 —2, Mrs. Askew and G. Vickers beat Mrs. Andersen and J. B. Hunt 6—3. The draw is: Miss J. Rookes and S. Reid v. Mrs. Andersen and J. B. Hunt, Miss Hunt and R. Vickers v. Miss Vickers and M. Askew, Mrs. Hunt and W. Vickers v. C. Kelly and W. Rookes, Mrs. Reid and H. Vickers v. Miss O. Rookes and A. Mapp, Mrs. W. Vickers and P. Andersen v. Mrs. Askew and G. Vickers, Mrs. Mapp and E.
