CENTRAL STATES SWEPT. HEAVY SNOW IN CHICAGO. San Francisco, Dec. 8. Three persons were killed • instantly when a tree was blown down during a storm, and crushed a bus in the mountain pass of Snoqualmie, in the Cascade Range, between Seattle and Spokane. Twelve degrees below zero and six inches of snow were registered .in Chicago yesterday. The snowfall was the heaviest for 45 years. A blizzard is sweeping the central States, with 15 inches of snow in Minnesota and Kansas.
