BIBLE CLASS EVENING

NEWS OF WAVERLEY DISTRICT. The Young Men’s and Young Women's Bible Class of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Waverley, held their annual social for the Presbyterian orphanage, Island Bay, Wellington, in St. Andrew’s hall on Tuesday night. There were not as many young folk as usual. There were members of the Patea Bible class present. The evening was spent in games and competitions and there was a short musical programme. Mr. E. Turner gave two recitations and Mr. Wilfred Harper two pianoforte solos. Miss M. Bowler, Wanganui, is the guest of Miss A. Howell for the weekend. Miss Elsie Madder, Wanganui, is visiting her sister, Mrs. R. Wall, Waverley. Mr. Doherty is a Masterton visitor to Waverley and is the guest of his sister, Mrs. F. Cunningham.
