Auckland, Nov. 30. “It would be interesting to know just how much trade has been lost to Australia 'through bodyline bowling,” said an Australian, Mr. A. R. Garling, formerly of 2FC, Sydney, in an interview to-day. During the war, he said, the Australian in England was ace-high with all classes, but now, due to the bodyline controversy, he was ranked by the masses with the Kaffirs.® Among business men who knew Australia there was none of this feeling but among the masses the Australian was liable to be openly insulted. In Scotland, where everyone met appeared to have a relative who was making money in Australia, the Australians were splendidly received, he said.
