TRANSPORT CONTROL
LICENSING AUTHORITY RULINGS. STRATFORD SITTING ENDED. The No. 5 District Transport Licensing Authority concluded its sitting at Stratford yesterday. Three reserved decisions,, were delivered, one fresh application was heard, and the application of W. Pennington, Waitara, was. struck out owing to the non-appearance of the applicant. The application of J. E. H. Stott, Inglewood, for a license for the cartage of timber in the Inglewood county, and over the Inglewood-Eltham route was refused. F. A. Reesby, Inglewood, who applied for permission to carry timber in the Inglewood county and over the Ingle-wood-Eltham route, was. granted a license. •
L. A. B. Plant, Hawera, was granted an amendment to his passenger service time-table between Hawera and Kaponga. - An amendment to his continuous goods service license to enable him to carry pinus insignis logs from the Kohi district to Waverley from December 1 to May 31 was applied for by J. G, Lippingwell, Hawera. The application was granted. Other applications granted were:— H. Harris, Whangamomona, applied for an area license for the Taranaki province. It was a fresh application and was refused on the ground that the applicant failed to show the necessity for the service.
B. J. Dixon, Tarurutangi, service from Tarurutangi to New Plymouth, W. H. Bunning, Midhirst, carriage of pigs over areas.
Incision on F. A. Reesby’s, Inglewood, application to cart timber from the Ingleworid county to Eltham, was reserved.
