SUCCESSFUL CLUB EVENING. RESULTS OF STRATFORD RACES. < There was a good attendance at the second regular club evening of the Stratford Swimming Club at the baths on Wednesday night. White (9s) 1, H. Bradshaw (ss) 2, R. Eagar (scr) 3. Three widths intermediate girls: Mavis Lee (3s) 1, P. Butehart (scr) 2. 50 yards senior men’s breaststroke:— First heat: J. Ryan (3s) 1, A. Robson (scr) 2. Second heat: J. Osmond (4s) 1, G. Wilson (3s) 2. Final: Osmond 1, Robson 2, Wilson 3. 50 yards senior women: Mrs. Wilkes (6s) 1, Miss Dixon (4s) 2, Miss Black (scr) 3. 25 yards junior boys’ dog-paddle: D. Turnbull 1, M. Ryan 2, D. Cameron 3. Junior girls’ dive: S. Healy 1, I. Kermode 2. Apple-bobbing, intermediate boys: R. Eagar 1, Rex White 2. Long plunge, intermediate girls: M. Lee (27ft Ilin) 1, P. Butehart (27ft 7in) 2.
• Senior men’s lemonade and bun race: Haughton 1, Robson 2. Senior women’s dive: Miss Black (28 points) 1, Miss L. Wickham (27 points) 2, Miss Dixon (26 points) 3. Ladder challenges were decided as follows: Miss L. Wickham beat Miss Dixon; R. Eagar lost to J. Ryan; Skuse beat G. Wilson; Robson beat Haughton.
