WEDDING

SIMPSON-GARDNER. The wedding was quietly celebrated at St. Barnabas’ Church, Opunake, on Wednesday last of Esma, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Gardner, Kina Road, Oaonui, and Hector, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs..N. Simpson, also of Kina Road. The Rev. A. J. Famell performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by het father, wore a navy frock trimmed with beige, and carried a bouquet to tone-. Miss Joyce Gardner, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a wine-colour-ed frock. She carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. James Simpson, as best nan.

A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride’s parents.
