LIVING OF IFIELD

INDUCTION OF NEW ZEALANDER. CHURCH WITH A LONG HISTORY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Formerly dean of Hamilton, the Rev. Graham Roy Barnett, M.A., was instituted. and inducted into the living of Ifield,, in the diocese, of Chichester, England, bn September 25, according to advice received, at Wellington.

The Bishop of Lewes, who instituted the vicar, referred to the early days of the Ifield church, mentioning that Normans and Saxons worshipped there and that the list of vicars went back to 1208 A.D., and probably about 200 years before. The bell they had heard rung that night was in the church before the English version of the Bible was written.
