EGMONT FIXTURE OPENS TO-DAY. POINTS WORTH WATCHING. The Egmont A. and P. Association’s 51st show begins to-day. Judging commences at 9 a.m. and will continue both Reasons why those interested should see the sections judged are, because there is:— A points prize of £5 ss, gold medal and specials for Friesians. A points prize of £5 ss, and North Island championship medals for Ayrshires. . A £5 prize for the champion bull and £5 for the champion cow in Jerseys. British medals and the Union Steamship Company’s Cup in the Clydesdales. Cups and wonderful prize money for saddle horses and competitions. A spectacular display of fireworks will be given at the Hawera showgrounds by Wainoni Fireworks Limited to-morrow evening. Parents and children alike will enjoy this exhibiton, which will consist of Prince of Wales Feathers, Battery of Roman Candles, Niagara Falls, Chromatic Wheel, Golden Fountain, Jewelled Fountains, Star Rockets, Sky Shells, Parachute Rockets, Fiery Whirlwinds and many other novelty pieces. Those who have seen these displays at Hawera previously Will know that they will have a good night’s entertainment.
