TENNIS CLUB’S OPENING. The Waitoitoi Tennis Club was favoured with perfect weather for its opening day on Saturday. There was a record attendance of players and visitors. Afternoon tea was supplied and served by lady members. Mr. and Mrs. L. Herbert visited Korito for the week-end. Mrs. R. Luxton spent the week-end at Waitara. Mrs. W. Shields, who has been the guest of Mrs. H. Wells, returned to New Plymouth on Friday. Mr. G. Park, Auckland, is spending a holiday in the Pukearuhe district. Mr. G. Liddell is in the New Plymouth hospital, having met with an injury to his leg during milking. Several good catches of schnapper are reported from the ledges on the coast at Pukearuhe.
