Mrs. C. Davies, who has been the guest of Mrs. Guy Cooper, has returned to Wanganui.

Mrs. Guthrie and Mrs. A. Best have returned from a short visit to Napier. Mrs. G. Turner was hostess at tea on Wednesday afternoon. Miss T. Gibson was hostess at tea on Wednesday afternoon. Miss J. Stewart, Auckland, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. A. A. Stewart.

Mrs. Guy Cooper was hostess at tea on Wednesday afternoon. Those present were Mrs. C. Davies, Wanganui, Mrs. C. J. Belcher, Mrs. D. Syme, Mrs. H. P. Wills, Mrs. Langston, Mrs. E. E. Carter and Miss E. Belcher.

Mrs. E. Turner, who has been the guest of Mrs. Turner, “The Grange,” has returned to New Plymouth. Mrs. C. J. Belcher has returned from a visit to New Plymouth. Mrs. S. W. Crawford was hostess at bridge on Monday afternoon. Mrs. E. de Launay, Sydney, was the guest of Mrs. P. de Launay during the week.

Mrs. P. Harrison was hostess at tea on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Crawford, who has been the guest of Mrs. G. Pease, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs. L. Abbott and Mrs. C. C. Stanners are visiting Christchurch. Mrs. Blair Robertson has returned from a visit to New Plymouth. Mrs. T. B. Crump is visiting Wellington. Eltham Old Pupils’ Dance.

The Eltham branch of the Stratford Old Pupils’ Association held a dance on Thursday. It was the third of a series, the dance music being played by Silver’s Sunbeams, with extras by Miss E. Sheehy, Mr. L. Ware and Mr. H. Prime. Mr. E. Townsend was master of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo was won by Mr. J. Williams and Miss D. Williams and a “bobbing” dance by Mr. M. Sheehy and Miss R. Phillips. Those present included Mrs. D. Knuckey, Misses. R. Gibb, D. Gower, E. Sheehy, R. Phillips, P. Mann, I. Thurston, L. Burgess, E. Rowe, R. Smith, B. Prown, M. Lawrence, J. Campbell, E. Peebles, D. Mumby, M. Brown, J. Thomas, N. Fake, J. Oliver, F. Thomas, K. Butler, M. Pilkington, K. Bridger, D. Bourke, D. Williams, L. Ritter, V. Carncross and G. Ware.
