Perry, the English tennis champion, told the Evening News in a transAtlantic telephone conversation, referring to his opportunity to turn professional. Tilden’s manager offered £lO,OOO for a five months’ tour of America. Perry also received an offer of £25,000 for tennis films. “I believe I could live on it for a lifetime,” he said, “and it is only a year’s earning. I am going to consider the offers deeply en route to Australia, for which country I am leaving to-morrow.” EXHIBITION GAMES. PERRY AND HUGHES BEATEN. By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright.
