BUTTER MARKET DEPRESSED. DEMAND FOR CHEESE STEADY. The London butter market remains depressed, according to a cable received at New Plymouth yesterday by Mr. H. M. Thomson, representative of the An-glo-Continental Produce Company. First grade butter is quoted at 62s and finest at 655. The cheese market is steady, the price for white and coloured being 48s 6d. All other sorts were firm. Greasy Merino sold to 15d for 28 bales from Scone.
