OKAIAWA CROQUET CLUB
GATHERING TO HELP FUNDS. Miss Edna Washer was hostess at an enjoyable afternoon on Friday, the object being to arise funds for the Okaiawa Croquet Club. Mrs. R. Shearer won the first prize for the cards and Mrs. H. Cameron the prize for the “lucky” number." A “jumbled words” competition was won by Mrs. Good. Afternoon tea was served by the hostess. Those present were Mesdames D. Green, Good, Evetts, J. Johnstone, Baker, Lees, Rae, J. Green, Oughton, H. Cameron, Penny, Blanchard, Armitage, Washer, Barclay, Williams, Joyce, Blair, Edwards, R. Shearer, G. Preece, Newman, S. Thrush, S. Washer, Ward and Mortimer, Misses Washer, F. Sutherland, R. Crawford, M. Johnstone and Daphne Good.
