WAVERLEY

Mrs. Harvey, Hawera, is staying with her sister Mrs. Bremer, Waverley. Miss N. MeMeekin is spending a few days at Wanganui. Mrs. A. S. Symes has returned from Hastings, where she was the guest of her mother, Mrs. Ford. Mrs. Smalley, Auckland, is on a prolonged visit to her daughter, Mrs. F. R. McWilliam.

Mrs. Strauchan entertained at bridge on Tuesday afternoon. The drawingroom was gaily decorated with tulips, poppies and azaleas. Mrs. Strauchan wore a model frock of nigger-brown dull crepe, relieved by touches of lemon. The guests included Mesdames Walkinton, Hodgson, Parsons, Wilson, Spratt, Barrow, Dickie, Wallace, Graham, Misses Mathews and Cleary. The prizewinners were Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Spratt.
