NEW ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER. MR. PAYNE REACHES WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. > Wellington, Last Night. An arrival at Wellington by the Monowai from Sydney to-day was Mr. J. Payne, who is to act as assistant to Mr. R. H. Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner, whose headquarters are at Wellington. x Mr. Payne, who was accompanied by Mrs. Payne and their young daughter, will share his duties with Mr. Nesbitt with the object of allowing him more time to go round New Zealand periodically in the interests of Commonwealth trade expansion. It is proposed that Mr. Payne will also visit various centres from time to time. One will remain at the Wellington headquarters while the other is atvay. -
