SEPTEMBER RETURNS
BRITISH BOARD OF TRADE FIGURES DAIRY PRODUCE IMPORTS DOWN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright.Rec. 7 p.m. London, Oct. 13. Board of Trade returns for September are:—lmports, £57,738,000; exports, £3?,957,000; re-exports, £3,249,000. The principal increases compared with September last year were; —Imports:? Grain and flour, £306,000;' other food, £722,000; tobacco, £616,000; rubber, £l,055,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £522,000. Exports: Iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £685,000; machinery, £328,000; vehicles, £BOB,OOO. The main decreases were:— Meat, £403,000; dairy produce, £1,245,000; cotton, £406,000; wool, £244,000; hides and skins, £326,000; oils, fats and manufactures, £304,000; leather, £250,000. Exports: Wool, £147,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £335,000.
