SECOND DAY AT DUNEDIN
. REVIEW OF PROSPECTS FRESH HORSES RACING. I — DUNEDIN GUINEAS CLASSIC. Although a number of fresh horses appear in several of the races, the first ♦ day’s form at Wingatui on Thursday should prove a fairly reliable guide for the racing problems presented at the concluding day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring carnival to-day. The racing is likely to attract wide interest on account of the Dunedin Guineas, the first classic race of this season to be run in the South Island, figuring on the pro- ■ gramme. The course at Wingatui was very heavy on Thursday, so that it is hardly likely that the going will be any- - thing but soft to-day. Therefore the proved heavy track performers are likeyJy/.to find favour with the racing public, feroihe fields carded for tb-morrow, with . likely to carry public support, > nx.
