PROGRESS IN ALL EVENTS. First round games in the men's senior championship of the Patea Golf Club resulted: Currie beat Pettigrew, Sheild beat Harris, Haddow beat Bourn, Hughes beat Gilbert.

Keen competition has been evident in the contests for the ferns .given to the Eltham Golf Club by Mr. E. L. Abbott, and the trophies have changed possession at least a dozen times already. In a match last week-end the challengers, Turner (7) and Wills (2), beat the holders, Wilds (9) and W. O. Hill (14), 3 and 2. TARURUTANGI MATCHES. PROGRESS OF CHAMPIONSHIPS. Match play in connection with the championships of the Tarurutangi Golf Club was continued during the weekend. In the semi-final of the men’s senior event H. Williams defeated F. Murray 6 up and 5, with the result that the former will contest the final with D. Street. The junior event was taken another stage. The semi-finals will be contested by the winners of the matches Sadler and Atcheley, Chamberlain and Devine, Christie and McCormick, and Cartwright. In the women’s senior championship Miss H. Murray has entered the final and will meet the winner of the match between Miss I. Street and Mrs. Wilton; The women’s junior event has reached the semi-finals. Miss Olson will meet Miss Hamilton and Miss Devine will meet Mrs, Chamberlain, the winners of these two matches will contest the final. INGLEWOOD WOMEN’S DRAW. Following is the draw for a women’s flag match to be played on the Inglewood golf links to-day: Mrs. Grant and Miss Morton, Mrs. Partridge and Mrs. Winter, Miss E.
