TEST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED. FASTEST YET MADE IN ENGLAND. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 8. The first of the three De Haviland Comet aeroplanes for the Melbourne air race completed a most successful test flight at Hatfield. It is the fastest plane yet built in Great Britain. Captain W. L. Hope, who has thrice won the King’s Cup air race, has been invited to pilot the machine in place of Mr. Bernard Rubin, who is unable to do so owing to illness.
