DETTON BEATS BROWNING
BRIGHT WRESTLING CONTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Bright wrestling was seen when Dean Detton, America, defeated Walter Browning, Auckland, by one fall secured in the seventh round with a press and armbar following a flying tackle. Browning had previously injured his neck against the ropes when he dived at his opponent, who side-stepped. The Aucklander had a big section of the large crowd with him, and he gave an impressive display. He lacked the science of his opponent, however, and it was Browning’s two* stone advantage in weight that troubled Detton most.
