When taking off from Marylands aerodrome on the return trip to Melbourne Sir Charles Kingsford Smith’s plane hit a drain and the undercarriage was damaged, the flight being postponed. Sir Charles has changed his plans. He is not attempting a non-stop return trip, but will take off at Perth to-morrow before dawn with a light load of petrol. He will refuel at. Forrest, and then fly non-stop to Sydney, where he expects to arrive in the afternoon.
