ENTERTAINED IN EGYPT

DUKE OF GLOUCESTER’S TOUR. WELCOME GIVEN AT PORT SAID. * ■ ■ By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Port Said, Sept. 9. When H.M.S. Sussex arrived the salute of 21 guns was unnecessary to awake the populace, who were already crowding the canal front. The Sussex crept to her moorings past H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth, which was fully dressed and manned, as the Duke of Gloucester and his staff, in tropical -dress, stood at attention on the bridge. All the shipping was beflagged. The Duke later flew to Cairo to meet friends in the 12th. Lancers’ Mess, whose guest he was overnight. The Sussex traverses the canal tonight and the Duke will re-embark at Suez to-morrow.
