44-HOUR WEEK, SAME WAGE
DESIRED FOR ALL NATIONS. TRADES UNION CONGRESS VIEW. By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright. London, Sept. 5. The Trades Union Congress unanimously resolved to urge the Governments of Britain and other countries to adopt a 44-hour week without a reduction of wages. Mr. Butler, director of the International Labour Office, said that the total world unemployment in 1932 was about 29 millions and to-day was 22 millions.
