The Trades Union Congress unanimously resolved to urge the Governments of Britain and other countries to adopt a 44-hour week without a reduction of wages. Mr. Butler, director of the International Labour Office, said that the total world unemployment in 1932 was about 29 millions and to-day was 22 millions.
