Russian shopkeeper at Sydney MURDERER ESCAPES IN THE DARK. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.15 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 2. Ignoring a demand to put up his hands, Paul Drasdoff, aged 45, a Russian, was shot dead in his suburban shop by a youthful bandit who with a companion was interfering with the till when he was surprised by Drasdoff. The men escaped in the darkness before they could be overtaken by Drasdoff’s wife.
